The requirement was to provide the client, a leading Oil and Gas company in Saudi Arabia, with a full explosion proof ATEX/Zone 1 rated wireless solution to collect and transmit CCTV data in Yanbu and Jeddah.  Following a thorough examination, Xceltra decided to provide the client with a customised solution comprised of:

• Compact, cost-effective and secure industrial 4G/LTE WiFi routers with heavy duty explosion proof and weatherproof aluminium body and cover.
• Complete intrinsically safe LTE and WiFi antenna kits .

Even though this equipment is not available on the market, Xceltra was able to deliver Zone 1 rated Industrial 4G routers through product development. The delivery and installation of the wireless CCTV system in the hazardous locations were completed within 3 months.
